Back to the site

This policy explains what personal information is collected through pritchard.works, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and how you can get it removed. It applies to this website only.

Who is responsible

This site is operated by Brandon Scott Pritchard, an independent consultant based in the Salt Lake City metro area, United States. For any privacy question or request, contact brandon@pritchard.works.

What is collected

Information you give directly

If you request the field research report, you are asked to provide:

Alongside this, a record is kept of the exact consent wording shown to you, whether you agreed to it, and the date and time you did so. That record exists so both of us have an accurate account of what was agreed.

If you book a call, the scheduling form is provided by Google Calendar and the details you enter there are collected by Google and shared with Brandon Pritchard under Google's terms.

Information collected automatically

Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses cookies set by third-party services. None of them load until you click Accept All in the cookie pop-up shown on your first visit. If you click Deny All, no cookies are set and you leave the site. Your acceptance is remembered in your browser’s local storage; to change your choice, use the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of any page. Choosing Deny All there deletes the cookies this site set in your browser.

Set byExamplesPurpose
HubSpot hubspotutk, __hstc, __hssc, __hssrc Recognizes returning visitors and links a form submission to the right contact record.
Google Analytics _ga, _ga_*, _gid Measures how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they arrived.
Meta (Facebook / Instagram) _fbp, _fbc Records that you visited, so ads for these services can be shown to you on Meta platforms, and so ad performance can be measured.
Google Tag Manager Varies by tag Loads the measurement and advertising tags used on this site.
Google Calendar Google account cookies Set by the embedded scheduling widget when it loads.

Most browsers let you refuse cookies or alert you when one is set. Browser-level signals such as Global Privacy Control are honored where applicable law requires it.

How the information is used

Your information is not sold for money, rented, or traded, and it is not handed to other companies to use for their own marketing.

Advertising and retargeting

Advertising platforms — currently Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google — may be used to show ads to people who have visited this site or who are already contacts. This can involve sharing limited identifiers with those platforms, such as a cookie or device identifier, or an email address in hashed (scrambled) form, so they can match you to an account. Those platforms act as independent controllers of the data they receive, under their own privacy terms.

Under some state privacy laws this activity is defined as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or as targeted advertising. To opt out, email brandon@pritchard.works and you will be excluded, or use the ad-preference controls each platform provides.

Who else processes it

A small number of service providers process this data on Brandon Pritchard's behalf, under their own privacy terms:

Email and text messages

You will only receive email or text messages if you explicitly agreed to that contact. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving them. You can also ask to be removed at any time by emailing brandon@pritchard.works, and the request will be honored regardless of how it reaches us.

Withdrawing consent does not affect anything already sent before you withdrew it.

How long it is kept

Contact details and consent records are kept for as long as there is an active or prospective working relationship, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal or record-keeping purposes. If you ask for your information to be deleted, it is removed from the CRM except where a record must be retained to show that you previously opted out.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of them, email brandon@pritchard.works. No account or special form is needed, and there is no charge.

Security

Information is held in HubSpot and transmitted over encrypted connections. The report download is served through a signed, time-limited link rather than a public file address. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and no absolute guarantee can be given.

Children

This site is aimed at legal professionals and is not directed at children. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information here, email brandon@pritchard.works and it will be deleted.

Visitors outside the United States

This site is operated from the United States, and information submitted here is processed and stored in the United States by the providers listed above. If you are accessing the site from elsewhere, be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting how your information is used will be reflected at the top of this page.
